Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for Contributors

Farm Economy, (ISSN 2789-3502) is a annually published open access journal wishes to invite scientists and researchers working in the field of agricultural economics and related disciplines to submit their research policy articles for its upcoming issues to be published in June annually. Farm Economy, the Journal of the Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Association (BAEA) already published 17 issues. 

Farm Economy publishes high-quality articles in English and in all areas of agricultural economics and related disciplines. The journal welcomes scholarly work on the economics of agriculture and food, natural resources, environment and rural & community development. We invite you to submit your manuscript as e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at: khasan41@yahoo.com. For more information please visit <http://www.baea.org.bd>.

Contributors are requested to note the following points while preparing manuscript for the Journal. The manuscript should contain the following sub-titles in sequence:

  • Title: Brief and specific preferably within 15 words. The manuscript will have a separate title page giving title of the paper, author(s) name and address.
  • Abstract: Should not exceed 250 words containing the highlights of the study (For short communication if should not exceed 100 words.)
  • Key words: Should not exceed 6 words.
  • Introduction: It should be precise and relevant. The context of the study should be described and will be supported by literature review. The problem of the study for which solution in sought as well as the objectives and the hypothesis being tested in the study will be given here.
  • Materials and Methods: It includes brief description of the study design, details of methods/procedures. Sample design and sampling techniques for date collection, analytical procedure and description of applied techniques or reference are also included in this section.
  • Results and Discussion: Results should be stated concisely and presented referring to Tables and Figure. Data of Table and figures should not be repeated in the text. Each result should be followed by discussion or interpretation with appropriate reference.
  • Conclusion: Discussion will be closed by drawing conclusion/
  • Acknowledgement (if any): May be acknowledging any person or institute who are directly/indirectly contributed to the research work.
  • References: In the text, references should be cited within brackets quoting author’s surname and the year of publication in the appropriate place e.g. Bhuiyan (2018), Khan and Rahman (2020), Ahmed et al. (2021) etc. References should be arranged alphabetically according to author’s surname and the following style to be followed:

  • Manuscript submitted for publication must contain original unpublished material.
  • Manuscript in the Journal is published on the entire responsibility of the authors.
  • Manuscript must be in English and type-written in Times New Roman (font size 12), double space of A4 size paper with 2.5cm margin in all sides.
  • Manuscript should be prepared in MS Word and a soft copy to be submitted e-mail of the Executive Editor, Farm Economy (khasan41@yahoo.com).
  • Number of Tables and Figures should be minimum. The figures and graphs should be properly drawn with bold and solid lines. All quantitative data must be in metric units.
  • A full paper exceeding 10 typed pages and a short communication exceeding five typed pages will not be entertained.
  • Authors will get two complimentary copies of the Journal.
